Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, subscriptions, and related services offered through authrova. The services include access to professional training materials on live television production, such as studio equipment integration, dynamic camera techniques, acoustic optimisation, lighting setups, and reliable production processes for news programmes, interviews, and live shows. It covers both one-time course purchases and recurring subscriptions for the professional hub. This policy governs transactions made by customers in the United Kingdom and explains the financial terms under which contracts are formed and concluded.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Additional Charges

All prices on the website are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as certification documents or extended access periods. authrova reserves the right to adjust prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Customers are responsible for any bank or payment processor fees incurred during the transaction. Currency conversion fees may apply if paying from outside the UK, and these are the customer's responsibility.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation, and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for course and subscription payments. All payments are processed securely through third-party providers that comply with PCI DSS standards. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon order placement. authrova does not store full card details. In the event of a payment failure, the order will not be processed until successful authorisation is received. Customers will receive an email confirmation once payment is authorised.

Order Confirmation, Booking, and Contract Formation

A contract is formed when authrova sends a written confirmation email following successful payment. This confirmation includes details of the purchased course or subscription, access instructions, and applicable terms. Until this confirmation is issued, no binding contract exists, and any provisional booking can be cancelled without penalty. Digital access credentials are provided only after contract formation.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation to cancel without giving a reason. For digital content, cancellation rights may be lost once download or streaming begins if the customer has expressly consented to immediate access. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, with access continuing until the end of the paid period. Cancellations must be notified in writing via the contact methods listed below.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period provided no substantial access to digital materials has occurred. Non-refundable items include completed courses where certificates have been issued, promotional bundles, and any services already fully delivered. Refunds will not be granted for change of mind after the cooling-off period or for failure to meet personal expectations regarding course content on television production techniques.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, customers must email [email protected] with their order number, full name, and reason for the request. Alternatively, use the contact form on the Contacts page or call 07734 238384. Requests should include bank details if a transfer refund is preferred. authrova will acknowledge receipt within two working days and may request additional information such as proof of purchase.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of Refund Decisions

Each refund request is reviewed individually against the eligibility criteria. Approval or rejection will be communicated by email within 10 working days. If rejected, the email will explain the reasons and any available alternatives such as course credit. Customers may appeal a decision once by providing further evidence within seven days of notification.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Reach the Customer

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible. Processing takes up to 14 working days from approval, though credit card refunds may appear on statements within three to five working days. Bank transfers are used for other methods and typically clear within five working days. authrova is not responsible for delays caused by the customer's bank.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, and Promotional Offers

Digital courses on live television production are treated as digital content under UK law. Once access begins, the right to cancel may be lost. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms and are generally non-refundable after redemption. Customers should review all terms before purchase to understand access limitations.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments will result in suspended access until resolved. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically within 30 days. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account suspension pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to authorities and may result in immediate account termination without refund.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not affect any statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR where applicable. Customers retain rights to services of satisfactory quality and to remedies for faulty digital content. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
